Andrew David – May 13, 2019
seen this at Columbus fishing expo in the 17’ went a couple weeks later to a show in Indiana and bought one. I love it I reduced my box usages by 8 box’s I store all my jerk-baits and crank baits in this. I’ll never buy box’s again and I will buy one for my dad for Father’s Day. Forget looking through boxes for the right lure buy one of these and you’ll be able to see all your tackle. Buy multiple and have one for each type of setup (boat, kayak, shore fishing, etc)
Matt Moe – September 24, 2019
The Classic Pro has got to be one of the best tackle holders that i have found!! i have 8 of them and need a few more to get rid of all the boxes!!!
Gary Watkins – June 5, 2019
What keeps the lures from falling out? when not rolled up?
Ken Ktytor – June 6, 2019
Hello Gary, thank you for asking. The pocket sleeves are assembled onto the canvas in a shingled design, so they overlap. The very top pocket sleeve is sewn on to access from the back side, so you flip the sleeve over for access. Additionally, the vinyl is double polished which has a natural tendency to stick to itself.
corey reff – July 3, 2019
Can you fit some series 6 or 10xd by strike king?
Ken Ktytor – July 9, 2019
For the 10xd’s you would need the Wraptor Grand Slam. Not sure on the Series 6. We would need more information.
Jimmy – July 8, 2019
I love this tackle roll, as it is a huge space saver. I consolidated 2 plano tackle boxes into one roll! It’s also really nice to have all your lures rolled out right there in front of you, and you don’t have to fight with untangling multiple lures to get the one you want! In my opinion this in the best tackle organization system on the market!
Jacque – July 15, 2019
I was at a show and came upon these tackle rolls, decided to pick one up for my boyfriend, and he absolutely loves it!
bigmusky63 – July 16, 2019
I travel so space to me is a premium I purchased my first tackle roll at the Chicago sports show I needed a system for my terminal tackle as anyone knows terminal tackle can make or break a trip when I got home I began to load the tackle roll before I knew it I had All The Terminal loaded up to say that this impressed me is not saying enough I ended buying an additional 2 rolls one for my bass jigs and another for my spybaits I have been using the tackle rolls for two years and they have Never let me down I recommend this product it saves space and they are built to last🎣Mike E
Anthony Thesing (verified owner) – July 18, 2019
I originally won one of these on a silent auction bundle at the Hometown Hero Outdoors banquet. I was skeptical at first but once I saw how organized and neat it kept all my flicker shads I was sold. I purchased 2 more to fit all my crankbaits and will continue to purchase as They fill up.
Brad Hajek – July 18, 2019
Great space saver!
Matt Jollymore – July 18, 2019
I own 4 of the classic pro’s. I have experienced them freezing to the bottom of my boat and floating in water in my storage units. ALL Bait from both experiences have been just fine. No rust!! The Storage savings is unreal. Also for organization there is no comparison. I have one Wraptor Tackle roll for each of the major brands of crank baits I use. Will I be getting more? ABSOLUTELY!! P.S. I also use them for tournaments, I put the Cranks I am going to use in One of my Tackle Rolls and roll it up! Even if someone peeks in to see, they see nothing!
Rodney – July 18, 2019
I love this product, I can fit most of my tackle in the 2 that I have and still fit them in my storage box in my boat and lock it up which I could never do with my tackle bag, it’s also great for not having lures all tangled plus I can open it up and see every lure I have at a glance, couldnt do that with my tackle bag, it’s light weight and with it being flat I can just leave it rolled out on the deck of my boat and not have to worry about stepping on hooks spilling containers or anything else, seems pretty durable but did have on plastic compartment rip just a little but I think that was my fault when stuffing something in that didn’t belong, I recommend these to anyone, maybe just a bit pricey but so are tackle bags
Ken – July 18, 2019
This is the only roll I own but I need more! Some of my pockets hold numerous crankbaits. It works but is not ideal.
Jake – July 19, 2019
I absolutely love my tackle rolls, I have two! They take up very little space in my boat. I was able to consolidate four 3600 series boxes worth of tangled crank baits into each individual roll. Wraptor tackle rolls take up hardly any space, and can be tucked away into any compartment in my boat! They are perfect for co-anglers or fishing with your buddy as they take up hardly any room! Do yourself serious favor and invest in a wraptor tackle roll you will not be disappointed.
Jacob Davis – July 24, 2019
At first I wasn’t sure how I felt on the Wraptortackleroll but after using it, I love it and I’ll never go back to a regular box or bag to store my tackle. Thank you guys for making amazing equipment.
Lawrence – July 30, 2019
I purchased these at a fishing show in Minneapolis and loved it great way to keep and see your lures. Also nice to hang off the side or windshield for your next lure change.
Garry Anderson – July 30, 2019
I wanted the best way to organize my new boat and make the most of the storage space it has. I looked at every product I could find to organize my crankbaits and jerkbaits. I found that wraptor gave me the best use of space, hands down the best way to be able to find the bait I’m looking for, no time wasted untangling treble hooks, and the bonus is they are safe for my dog to walk on in the boat!
Darren Blasel – July 30, 2019
I currently own 3 tackle rolls. I was able to get rid of all of my 3700 boxes and use nearly half the space! I love being able to hang them up after a rainy day on the lake to dry.
Ronnie Walker – July 31, 2019
In a kayak, room is scarce. This wrap has allowed me to eliminate 4 Plano boxes. It fits directly behind my seat.
Cole lunser – August 1, 2019
What I love about my classic pro Wraptor rolls is how much space I save from using the Plano boxes! I recommend these to anyone looking to store their crank baits!
John Bouvette – August 8, 2019
As a guide / tournament fisherman. I am pleased to say that the Wraptor tackle roll is one of the most valuable and used pieces in my boat. It saves space and time, when fishing tournaments time is key and that is when the Wraptor roll comes into play. Get yours today you won’t be disappointed.
Kenny P – August 21, 2019
The classic pro is great! Fits various sizes of lures I have over tripled the amount of storage in the boat with wraptor tackle roll’s!
Ryan Schultz – August 23, 2019
Have been using Wraptor Tackle roll for a few years now and i own 6 classic pros and have nothing to say bad about them! They keep my boat organized, clean, and save a ton of room in the side compartments of my boat while fishing tournaments. All around awesome product built well and with stand the cold and heat of are seasons. I do own a few more for ice fishing and different size cranks as well!! would recommend them to anyone!!
Matthew White – December 1, 2019
Which wraptor would be best for crappie jigs?
Ken Ktytor – December 4, 2019
The Starting Line Up is ideal for Crappie jigs. You can put them in the pockets loose or as I prefer, in small plastic bags for separation when you have numerous colors, styles and sizes.
djdeepete (verified owner) – February 25, 2020
Was introduced to these rolls of awesomeness when I started fishing tournament with a buddy of mine 2 years ago. Was amazed at how easy it was to find the crank baits I was looking for in seconds rather than going through tangled bundles of lures in messy tackle boxes, the cranks were easy to see and to get out, then rolled up and out of the way to get back to fishing which is important when time is against you. When I got my 1st one I only owned a small 12 foot Alumacraft boat and it really saved me a lot of space and kept my boat more organised. I now own 5 and would absolutely recommend getting your hands on 1.
Lionel Hamilton – April 13, 2020
A close friend got me the Classic Pro for Christmas and I instantly loved it. I now have two Classic Pro’s, a Big Hitter, and a Starting Line Up. There are 13 less plastic Plano box’s in my Ranger 521C and ALOT more space. Highly Recommend!
LHamilton – April 13, 2020
Got the Classic Pro as a gift from a close friend. Love it!!!
John mcgrath – August 7, 2020
Have any for bigger lures? big spooks jerkbaits etc.
Ken Ktytor – August 7, 2020
Hello, The Heddon Spooks do not have bills which makes them easy to store. We recommend the Big Hitter with 24 pockets 7.75″ w X 3.5″ d for single lure storage. If you want to put multiple lures in each pocket, the Grand Slam with 12 pockets 8.25″ w X 6.5″ deep would work very well. If you have large jerk baits with bills, the Grand Slam may be a better choice. Thank you for asking. All products are in stock for immediate shipment.
Richard Stevens Jr – May 5, 2020
Do they float? Full of crankbaits or soft plastics or jigs?
Ken Ktytor – May 5, 2020
They will float with Crankbaits and Soft Plastics, but not jigs or mass quantities of other lead or tungsten.
Josh – May 15, 2020
Can you customize these? Looking for one that fits 110 sized jerkbaits in pouches.
Ken Ktytor – May 15, 2020
Jerkbaits typically do not have much of a bill on them which really helps. I use a Classic Pro for all of my Rapala F-Series, Can fit up to # 9’s in the top 36 pockets (5″ w) and up to # 14’s in the bottom 18 pockets (6.75″ w). Have a feeling you are looking for all bigger pockets. Measure your lures from front of bill to the tail and add 1″ to determine the to the minimum total pocket width required. We can fabricate customs, would need to get a quote from our Chicago fabricator. If we had a radio frequency welder, we could fabricate these in our shop. Thx, Ken.
GLJ Fishing – July 3, 2020
Which one is best for holding 6xd/dt16 and larger size baits? How many of those size baits will it hold?
Ken Ktytor – July 6, 2020
The Big HItter works well for 6XD’s. The Grand Slam is designed for 8XD, 10XD, and similar sized square bills.
Ken Ktytor – July 20, 2020
Hello, The DT20’s have a large girth body length of 2 3/4″ with a deep diving, long and wide bill. Per the care and use instructions provided with each Wraptor Tackle Roll, it is not recommended to store more than one lure per pocket. It can be done but the lures need to be positioned in patterns allowing for the extra bulk. Definately advise against storing three lures of this style per pocket. Perhaps you should consider trying out the 24 pocket Big Hitter which has wider and deeper pockets. Or if you have a variety of large lures, we have the 12 pocket Grand Slam. This model easily holds two 10XD’s per pocket. Thank you for the review and please advise if you have further questions or comments.
Donald Wyant – August 17, 2020
Does the vinyl pockets become stiff or crack in cold weather?
Ken Ktytor – August 18, 2020
The vinyl does become stiffer in temps below 45 degrees, but will not crack. If you are ice fishing in a heated shanty, it only takes a few minutes for the vinyl to regain its pliability.
Roy hughes – December 5, 2020
Do you make one for crappie baits
Ken Ktytor – December 5, 2020
The Starting Line Up is our smallest Wraptor. It is ideal for most styles of jigs, the smaller 5.5″ soft plastic bags, terminal tackle or a variety of crankbaits. The bottom pocket is full width at 13.5″ and 1″ deeper for floats, pliers, sharpeners, and other utilities.
Daryl – January 19, 2021
Is their only one model, I use all walleye bandits about six inches long.
Ken Ktytor – January 19, 2021
We have six models. The Big Hitter is designed specifically for Bandits, Reef Runners, and Perfect 20 size baits. 24 pockets.
Jackie Bruton – January 23, 2021
Can this be used as a Worm Bag. Is there a reaction to Soft Plastic.
Ken Ktytor – January 23, 2021
This is one of the most common storage solutions with our products. Soft plastics can be stored in a Wraptor, in the original, sealed packaging prior to placement into vinyl pouches. Specific soft plastic brands use chemicals that will interact with the vinyl. Please heed warnings on packaging prior to storage in a Wraptor Tackle Roll.
David Peper – February 4, 2021
What wrap do you recommend for packages of soft plastics?
Ken Ktytor – February 4, 2021
Hi David, We recommend the Big Hitter. It works great for soft plastics.
Casey – June 11, 2021
Will the vinyl eat the soft plastics? Rubber worms or skirts on jigs and spinner baits?
Ken Ktytor – June 11, 2021
There are a few products out there such as Z-Man that have a chemical called ElazTech. This and similar chemicals will have a reaction. You will not have issues if you keep your soft plastics in the original packaging. Heed the warning on the packaging and you will be OK. Thanks for asking.
Clarissa Johnson – March 6, 2021
I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these….I so sick of treble hooks catching in everything from the cast net to tackle bags and everything else!!!! My questions is about the pockets. I’ve read it’s heavy gauge and thick, does this mean those pesky treble hooks won’t like through? Plus of I’m going to store my soft plastics in one of these rolls, I’m prolly going to get one of the smaller rolls to use for the other items you use with soft plastics, i.e. hooks and other accessories. Will it hold up to some weight being stored?
Ken Ktytor – March 8, 2021
Hi Clarissa, Hooks do not poke through too often. Typically only when you have outward bent hooks, and they are nice and sharp. Our original from 1994 has the exact same vinyl that we use today and has quite a few poke holes. The 16 gauge double polished vinyl has never ripped, cracked or discolored. Kinda like a pizza pan…it gets better with age!
Thanks for the inquiries, Ken
Chuck Collins – April 26, 2021
Best roll for salmon spoons 5″ maybe a tad longer…
Ken Ktytor – April 26, 2021
Hi Chuck, The Classic Pro with 54 pockets will be ideal for the majority of your salmon spoons. For spoons 6″ plus, we recommend the Big Hitter. Thanks, Ken
William Schneider – May 23, 2021
Can the pouches hold chatter baits and/or spinner baits without skirts being compromised? If so, would it be best to sore them in plastic sandwich bags before placing them in packets?
Ken Ktytor – May 23, 2021
You can put chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and skirted jigs in the pockets relatively straight. For larger baits like this and those with the “L” wire, we suggest going with the Big Hitter as the pockets are 1/2″ deeper. In all of the larger pockets, you can fit several lures in each.
Debra Sutterfield – November 27, 2021
Will the Classic Pro float if it ends up in the lake?
Ken Ktytor – November 27, 2021
Hi Debra, the Classic Pro will float when filled with lures. All Wraptors will float unless they are fully loaded with jigs and weights.
Cari Kasulinous – November 27, 2021
Can these hold vintageures of all sizes?
Great Idea for vintage lures! We recommend the Classic Pro for the majority of lures 3″ – 5.5″ total length. For larger lures, let us know maximum lengths and approximate girth (a photo would be good), and we can help choose the right model.
Shelia Power – December 11, 2021
How much is shipping and if I order today would it be here by next Friday?
Ken Ktytor – December 11, 2021
Hi Shelia,
If you order by Sunday Evening, it will ship on Monday Dec 13.
If you choose UPS SurePost (UPS transfers to the destination US Post Office for final delivery) there is a good chance it will arrive by next Saturday. For a single unit order, shipping is around $13. If you order mutliple Wraptors, shipping will be FREE.
There are more solid options shown at check out such as UPS Next Day, 2nd Day, or 3 Day Select. These all cost more but are also much closer to a guaranteed delivery day.
Larry Anderson – December 26, 2021
Do you have a roll up bag for spinner blades?
Ken Ktytor – December 26, 2021
Are you refering to wired spinnerbaits / buzz baits?
Grand Slam for 1 oz. plus Musky style, 4 – 6″ vertical wire. This will fold to keep wire straight. Big Hitter for anything smaller, up to 3″ vertical wire.
Can store multiple lures in pockets with either option.
Dan C – January 11, 2022
do you make one that just holds Bandit walleye deep and DHJ12 The classic pro doesn’t look like all the pockets will hold theses type of lures Thank you
Ken Ktytor – January 12, 2022
Absolutely the Big Hitter was designed for these baits. This model is a favorite for Lake Eerie.
Kevin parrish – February 19, 2022
Does this come with the lures or is it 60 dollars for the vinyl wrap
Ken Ktytor – February 20, 2022
The lures are not included.
Richard Bourcier – March 26, 2022
Do you have any of your products that would handle spoons used for trolling for trout and salmon?
Ken Ktytor – March 26, 2022
Yes, spoons are relatively easy to store as the single treble hook can tuck under the spoon. We recommend the Classic Pro with 54 pockets for the majority of your spoons, or the Big Hitter with 24 pockets if you have large spoons up to 6″.
DAVID HALL – November 21, 2022
